PLANET BERLIN
Photographs
My collection of shots is mostly taken with a mobile phone, as a result of impressions which caught my attention during everyday life in Berlin. Some of the pictures were made, while I was trying to get connected to nature, spontaneous without any intentions.

In Berlin there are surprisingly many natural spaces, which makes the city special and more livable. The pictures taken in these areas give the impression that if they were taken somewhere far out of the city, there would be no sign of an urban area. The next pictures, as opposites, express the strong urbanist side of Berlin and the different sorts of constructions of people:Another important element of this city is it's waters. Water, as a necessity of life, attracts life itself. Water, with it's amazing features, such as being able to transform into ice, it's transparency and the it's way to reflect give space and invitation to capture abstract images.

Through the narration of the pictures it’s possible to detect the history of the relationship of people with their environment: how first nature was urbanized by people, then how the next generations lives in the artificial environment and in the end how the city is being renaturalized also in the present moment- since the people discovered the negative aspects and unsustainability of a strongly urban environment and the effects on their wellbeing. The pictures where the Kleingarten culture and community gardens appear are good examples. It is interesting for me to follow the history through the changes of constructions in the city
